Summary

Bass Concrete performed concrete services for the University of Memphis’ new STEM Research Laboratory. A unique cast-in-pace reinforcement design was used to address the campus’ proximity to the New Madrid Seismic Zone. The structure included three floors of elevated concrete with 6ft thick transfer beams and high bay shoring for elevated concrete decks.
